2010-2011 ATHLETIC PHYSICALS - For any student that will be in grades 7-12 in the 2010-2011 school year and will be playing any extra curricular activity for Bad Axe Public Schools. Physicals will be provided by Huron Medical Center. Physicals will be held on May 13, 2010 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm in the High School gym. The cost is $10.00 and checks can be made payable to Huron Medical Center. Students can pick up a physical card in the office before May 13th. Please take it home and have parents fill in all important information and sign. The card can be brought back the day of the physicals. If you will not be here that day you can go to the Junior High on May 20, 2010 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. You can also go to the following places on June 1st: After Hours Clinic ( No appt necessary) 1040 S. On Fri, May 14th, Kisses for Charity along with Vinnie Lupinski ( and other special guests) will be hosting a concert The Sleeptight, Sweet Dreams Show, for the public. It will be held at the High School and the cost is $5.00 for general admission. Kisses for Charity shirt gets you to the front of the line. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Organization. Doors open at 6:30 pm and opening band Smooth Sailors takes the stage at 7:30 pm. Watch your guy friends compete in a talent show, an interview, and an obstacle course in heels to win the coveted sash and tiara. Sign up in the office today. RED CROSS SCHOLARSHIPS: Two $500 scholarships are being offered by the Red Cross. College-bound seniors who have given blood or worked at a Bad Axe High School blood drive are eligible. Applications must include your name, a copy of your blood donor card or a signed verification of having worked at a Bad Axe High School blood drive, and a short essay explaining why giving blood is important. Applications must be submitted to Mr. Van Tiem by May 21.
